I ran into this guy while mowing the backyard. He was kind enough to pose for me for a while.

There was a moratorium on horse blogging for me until Jennifer could officially be the first to blog about socks and post pictures. Check out her description of this weekend on her blog, Ramblings of a Flower Addict.

Congratulations on Socks. It sounds as if the two of you will be so busy you might not have time to breathe, let alone blog.

If you get a chance, I'd be interested in hearing about your plans for horse facilities. Do you plan to pasture Socks, or stall him? And finally, do you plan on doing any riding?

I'd say that's a Northern Fence Lizard. Pretty common around my place too.

Thank you, we're both very excited. I imagine we'll still find time to do some blogging. In the back of my mind I've got plans for a PC even in the shop building.

Jennifer is an accomplished horseperson. She went to college on a rodeo scholarship, has been a rodeo queen, and has traveled much of the country training horses...

I can tell this is going to be a long comment, perhaps I'll start a new post on the subject instead!

I almost thought your were pulling my leg, as he's sitting on fence posts we plan on installing. But he'd have to be a Western Fence Lizard for that to work! ;) (they'll be on the West side of the back yard)
